Virtual Meetings and Stakeholder Engagement

City of Oceanside

The development of parks must include stakeholder engagement through both in person and virtual engagement to ensure it is well-planned, sustainable, and reflects the needs and perspectives of the community. These community members, environmentalists, urban planners, city officials, and other relevant groups provide unique insights into how local parks can be developed to address different neighborhoods' needs and priorities. By involving stakeholders in park development, our grant writer can build a sense of ownership and support for the development of parks, leading to more sustainable and successful outcomes in understanding the diverse and often complex interests that shape park development, allowing our grant writers to seek funds to create more equitable and inclusive parks that meet the needs of all members of the community.

Community Outreach

City of Montebello

Global Urban Strategies, Inc. recognized the importance of community outreach in securing funding for the City of Montebello's parks. They engaged stakeholders through charrettes, sought feedback, built relationships with community leaders, and organized site visits. Their outreach efforts resulted in funding from new sources and strengthened existing relationships. Delta Fuel Dump Crisis Management and Public Relations

City of Cudahy

Shortly after departure in January 2020, engine problems forced Delta Airlines Flight 89 to return to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The aircraft released fuel to lessen its weight as part of the emergency landing process. Unfortunately, the fuel's release over a heavily populated area—including several schools—led to reports of skin and eye irritation from both children and adults.

The fuel dump impacted several communities, including the City of Cudahy. To assist them in responding to the incident and managing its effects on the neighborhood, they engaged Global Urban Strategies. Global Urban Strategies assisted in coordinating with other affected cities, advised the City of Cudahy on communication tactics, and represented the community's interests when dealing with Delta Airlines and other pertinent parties. The Crisis Management included community meetings to inform affected residents and address their concerns and media relations efforts to guarantee accurate reporting of the incident and its effects.

The process allowed for a quick and efficient way to gather input and ideas from a diverse group of stakeholders and maximized the points allocated to the Proposition 68 project application that was submitted.

State of the City Presentation

City of San Luis Obispo

A story is often more impactful when witnessing it firsthand rather than imagining it. To bring this idea to life, our team worked on preparing the State of the City 2022 Presentation for San Luis Obispo. We put together various marketing materials, including highly polished videos, to capture the city's essence and communicate its latest developments and future goals to its residents. By presenting this information visually engagingly, we aimed to offer citizens a more immersive and memorable experience.
